AHRRAO-IWPR second summer school

Afghan Human Rights Research and Advocacy Organization
1 July 2018
Justice and human rights can be exercised and experienced in a society where its citizens are dare to claim for the rule of law and human rights:
Considering the fact that citizens can play fundamental role to have a society devoid of violence and in accordance to the rule of law and justice, and taking into account that due to many reasons a big part of Afghanistan society (women) were not able to play their role in Afghanistan socio-political development, and as result; Afghanistan has never been able to experience dynamic evolution and sustainable development; Afghan Human Rights Research and Advocacy Organization has come up with its (Initiative to increase socio-political role of women in Afghanistan) aiming to play its role in Afghanistan’s reconstruction by improving women capacity in order to enable them to take active part in their communities’ socio-political development.
Our vision in the framework of this program is; Gender Equality and Human Rights which is being followed by designing and successful implementation of our Initiative to Improve women’s social and political rights IWPR project funded by German Foreign Ministry.
This project has been started on Sep 2017 by its first summer school in which the overall project framework has been developed. The project has been followed by different capacity building programs, conducting scientific researches, advocating for women rights, dialogues, six months internship programs and finally closed by its second summer school in June 2018.
The project outputs and immediate outcomes are evaluated 30% more than anticipation in the project LogFrame which is confirmed by project ME and program reports.
Taking this project success into account and lessons we have learned, AHRRAO is going to follow its program (Initiative to increase socio-political role of women in Afghanistan) with strong commitment by designing and implementation of more and better scientific and specialized projects in this field in order to achieve a society where gender equality is respected.
